Design Summit Professional Fellows facilitate student learning on a Humanitarian Design Summit study tour by mentoring students; helping them to navigate through human-centered design processes and manage team dynamics.
The opportunity is geared for excelling graduate and early-stage career professionals (2+ years), who work in a professional manner and show a willingness to take initiative and to build interpersonal skills and self-awareness. Fellows build mentoring and leadership capabilities through a curated, immersive and applied international training experience, in a way that differs from traditional professional development programs.
“I started to appreciate that it is hugely important to have a good understanding of the context of the society in which you are working, in order to produce an effective design.”
Professional Fellow, Cambodia 2016
