Showcasing Stories of Indigenous Engineering
Our ImpactStoriesShowcasing Stories of Indigenous Engineering

In recognition of Reconciliation Week 2017, EWB-Australia hosted an evening to showcase Stories of Indigenous Engineering.

Through video and conversation we shared this story series celebrating the rich contribution of Indigenous traditional knowledge to the discipline of engineering, and encouraging greater diversity of representation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

At a special event during Reconciliation Week, hosted by Aurecon, EWB's Matilda Bowra was in conversation with Maddison Miller, Archaeologist and Darug woman, talking about how the legacy of thousands of years of Indigenous experience of working the land, enriches engineering and technical professions today.
