Engineers Without Borders NSW is in partnership with Sydney community organisation Metro Assist. The organisation offers multiple services including migrant settlement, family support, emergency relief, tenancy services, community development and employment support programs. The SkillME project is one of Metro Assist’s employment support programs and has been running since 2016. It is a seven-week skill based program that assists skilled migrants to obtain employment in Sydney.
The partnership aims to work collaboratively with the organisation to improve employment outcomes for their engineer and IT clients who face significant difficulties entering into the Sydney engineering and IT job market.

Role Description
As a scoping volunteer in this role you will be required to conduct research into employment opportunities and pathways for one or more engineering disciplines and to work with SkillME to develop guidance material for their engineering and IT clients. These disciplines include: Civil and Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications Engineering.
