The WA Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Knowledge Hub is a community of WASH professionals and enthusiasts who are passionate about Sustainable Community Development and Humanitarian Engineering in WASH. We endeavour to be a central source of WASH expertise that actively contributes to making the world a better place. Our group works in research, development and education to encourage better WASH understanding and practice within; Engineers Without Borders, our partner organisations and the broader community

Role description
The WASH KH Coordinator is a volunteer role. You will lead a local team of WASH KH volunteers and coordinate our efforts in alignment with EWBs broader mission.

Key Responsibilities & Actions
• Provide guidance and liaison to WASH KH members
• Facilitate regular team meetings and social events
• Recruitment and On-boarding
• Communication and Administration (emails, website  updates)
• Liaise with WA leadership and EWB National Office
• Liaise with Partner organisations and local WASH expertise networks
• Represent EWB at local industry events
• Facilitation of strategy workshops as required
• Implement WASH leadership strategies and initiatives
• Advocate for EWBs WASH programs and provide support where required
• Attend committee meetings and other key EWB leadership events
• Goal setting/progress tracking

Key Dates & Events
• WASH KH Monthly Meeting
• WA Regional Meetings (second Monday each month)
• WA Open Space Evenings (fourth Monday each month)
• nEWBie Nights

Skills / Experience
• Passion for helping people and working towards EWB mission, vision and 2020 aims.
• Experience working in community development and volunteer organisations.
• Professional experience (we encourage applicants from non-engineering disciplines to apply)
• Willingness and ability to engage with EWB WASH teams across Australia
• Excellent communication, networking and organisational skills (verbal and written)
