Member Engagement and Recruitment Champion

Member engagement and recruitment is a key aspect of maintaining and expanding our impact in EWB WA. This new role will involve supporting a number of teams in the WA Region and providing advice and assistance to teams on member engagement and recruitment activities.

Role description
In this new role you will work closely with the WA Region President and existing team leaders/coordinators to facilitate the up-skilling and capacity growth of volunteers, and aligning volunteer direction and motivation with that of EWB. The aim of this role is to strengthen the engagement of members within EWB WA teams, and in the wider EWB membership base.

Note: successful applicants must be professional EWB members

Key Responsibilities & Actions
• Manage and coordinate key WA Region recruitment initiatives (recruitment campaign and nEWBie nights)
• Coordinate and develop onboarding strategy for new members
• Respond to new member requests and queries
• Develop and implement framework for guidance and capture of interested parties
• Develop succession planning procedure for the WA Region
• Mentor and engage existing WA Region members
• Liaise with EWB Australia Member Engagement representatives
• Potential to recruit and lead own Member Engagement team

Key Dates & Events
• Recruitment campaigns and nEWBie nights (2 per year, Jan/Feb and Jul/Aug each year).
• New member inductions (as required)
• WA Region Committee meetings (second Monday of every month)
• Participate in monthly national EWB member engagement teleconference

Skills / Experience
• Willingness to invest commitment into role for a minimum of one year
• Alignment with EWB organisational identity, vision and mission
• Friendly and confident interpersonal manner
• Passion for helping others
• Creative and innovative – willingness to try new ideas
• Show active leadership in tasks when working with others
• Experience in coordinating events such as nEWBie nights (desirable)
• Previous experience in recruitment or human resources
