Abdul Rehman Khan

Professional Qualifications:
Master of Structural Engineering

Nominee Bio:

The unique quality which I see in myself is the willingness to cease every opportunity I come across and give my best to whichever role I take up. I love multitasking and can easily get connected with people by making some meaningful connections in short time. Currently I work as a Structural engineer for Aurecon.

Apart from that I love to volunteer and always keen to meet new people. In past two years I have volunteered with over 10 different organisations and got connected with many amazing individuals. Working on different contractual roles, I was fortunate enough to work with engineering industry giants like Arup and Vicroads. Thereby, had a chance to explore the engineering industry and work with different engineers. This is the main reason I was able to easily move across different roles at the start of my career.

After founding Swinburne Engineering Student Society, I have been leveraging my connections and helping out students at my university getting connected with the industry and starting up their careers. I also sit on a board as an executive director of a non profit organisation at the age of 24 and this have been a greatest achievement on its own. On a broader scale, I do volunteer for Engineers Australia and currently represent every young engineer across Victoria. This is what I can bring to EWB board and give back to community through Engineering.

Are you a current EWB Australia Board Member?
No

Why do you want to join the Board of EWB Australia?
To use all of the experience I have gained over the years and give back to the community through Engineering. And also meet new people, learn and gain further board’s experience.
