The Newcastle Chapter is a collection of professionals and students based in the Hunter Valley of NSW.  We are a motley crew of volunteers, part-time contributors, blue sky thinkers, and socialites.  Some of us enjoy fine wine.

Our vision is to create an engineering culture in the Hunter in which every engineer is empowered to make the world a better place.  In working towards our vision we will apply humanitarian engineering principles of self-identified needs, 2-way knowledge sharing, capacity development and strength based approaches.

The Newcastle Chapter pages give a snapshot of what's happening locally.  Check out opportunities to:

  • meet like minded people
  • get involved in local initiatives
  • gain humanitarian engineering knowledge and skills
  • prepare for overseas volunteer placements

"Our vision is to create an engineering culture in the Hunter in which every engineer is empowered to make the world a better place."
