Do you want to contribute to, and support, a positive impact in society by applying your professional skills and expertise?
Are you unsure how to do this in your professional role and/or outside of your work activities?
Are you exploring volunteering opportunities as one way to do this, but are unsure of who to volunteer with, how to connect with the right organisation?
Are you aware of the things to consider when volunteering your time?

Engineers Australia NSW and the Engineers without Borders NSW Region Chapter are bringing together a panel of professionals who have extensive experience in volunteering and facilitating programs that engage with professional volunteers.
With perspectives from the not-for-profit, international development and corporate sectors, participants will be able to hear about and understand different volunteering experiences, the different contexts and ways in which someone can volunteer and also gain tips and insights into what to consider when volunteering for a purpose and with an organisation.
“Volunteers are not paid – not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless”

There will be an opportunity for questions and deeper discussion into the topic of volunteering, including the benefits and challenges for individuals, organisations, communities and beneficiaries, the difference between volunteering and the provision of pro bono services and understanding the true impact of your support.
