Victoria region have partnered up with the RMIT University chapter and RMIT Fairtrade to present a screening of the powerful and moving documentary True Cost. The True Cost is a feature length documentary that explores impact of fashion the people and planet.
It's a storey about clothing. It's about the clothes we wear, the people who make them and the impact this has. The price of clothing has been decreasing for decades while the human and enviornmental costs have grown dramatically. Filmed in countries all over the world, from the brightest runways to the darkest slums and featuring interviews with the worlds leading influencers: Stella McCartney, Livia Firth and Vandana Shiva amongs others the True Cost is an unprecedent project that invites us on an eye opening journey around the world and into the lives of the many people and places behind our clothes.
Join us for pre-screening talks and nibbles at 6.30 pm at Chan Charlie Chan @ RMIT. On Level 2 of building 80. We will then head to the screening at 7.30 pm.
