Monthly Supporter Program

Regular giving is vital to EWB and provides us with the security of a steady income. This ongoing support enables us to plan for the future while maintaining our existing programs.

By giving EWB the authority to deduct an agreed amount from your credit card each month, you can become a valued, long-term supporter and need no longer fill out forms, or make phone calls.

We will send you an automatic receipt each month for taxation purposes.

Corporate Philanthropy

Your company or company foundation can contribute to EWB by making a financial or in-kind donation. This is a tax effective way of making a direct contribution to the community.

The donation does not have to be financial. It could include:

  • Gifts in-kind (products or services)
  • Matching Employee giving
  • Access to a company resource
  • Shares (this is a very tax efficient way to make a charitable donation).

If you would like to talk to us about forming a strategic partnership, please email Sunny Oliver-Bennetts, Director, EWB Supporters.

Workplace Giving

Workplace Giving establishes a feeling of community within your organisation, and allows your company the chance to acknowledge and support your employees' interests in sustainable development.

Workplace Giving allows you to contribute regular donations through your payroll system from your employees' pre-tax income in direct support of EWB.

Where the money goes

EWB is a not-for-profit charitable organisation that relies on funding from private donations, philanthropic grants, private trusts and community fundraising. Since 2003, EWB has been dedicated to creating systemic change through humanitarian engineering.

We bring together research, business, education and members of the community to increase the access to knowledge and resources required to lead a life free from poverty.

Like all organisations, EWB’s work relies on a portion of administration spending. Our partnership management, expert staff and strong accountability measures all contribute to a better EWB with the best possible humanitarian outcomes for community.  A small fraction of your donation will go to supporting our administration, not taking away from the life-changing work that we do – but helping to support it.

For more information, you can download our latest Annual Report. A copy of our full financial reports for the the year ending 30 June 2013 are available on request by phoning
03 8582 1866.

Donate Shares

ShareGift Australia is a not-for-profit organisation that provides shareholders with an easy and tax deductible way to sell small parcels of shares that would otherwise be difficult and expensive to trade, and donate the proceeds to EWB. The program has been endorsed by both the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and the Australian Shareholder’s Association.

This is a completely free service and it’s easy to make use of your unwanted shares by donating them to EWB.

Once a shareholder has completed a share sale donation form by nominating EWB as the recommended recipient, ShareGift Australia sells his or her shares without incurring brokerage costs.

All shares held in Australian publicly listed companies may be sold.

Shareholders can also be invited to donate dividends by simply directing all or part of their forthcoming dividend payment to ShareGift Australia. The proceeds are then distributed to EWB. Dividend gifting can also sit alongside existing Dividend Reinvestment Programs.

For more information or to download a donation form, please visit the ShareGift Australia website.
