The partnership was officially launched on st April by Gavin Jackman, Orica&#;s Executive Global Head of Corporate Affairs and Social Responsibility, and Lizzie Brown, EWB&#;s CEO, at a networking event for Orica’s senior leaders and graduates in Melbourne.
The Orica-EWB partnership will focus on providing volunteer, training and networking opportunities for Orica staff through participation in EWB&#;s Education and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander programs.
Gavin praised the efforts of the Orica Graduate Sustainability Committee in driving the internal momentum to develop the EWB partnership through the company&#;s Community Partnerships Program, which suports Orica&#;s broader corporate citizenship agenda.
Lizzie spoke about the varied ways Orica staff could contribute to EWB&#;s work, whilst also fostering their personal and professional development.
EWB looks forward to working with Orica and welcomes the involvement of their enthusiastic staff in local initiatives.
