And is galvanizer spelt with a ‘z’ or an ‘s’? We will leave you to wrangle with this philosophical question. Learn about the exciting and impactful way the EWB NSW Corporate Galvanizer role contributes to EWB's aim of inspiring a global movement of engineers driving social change and how you can get involved!

Why is this important?
At the end of 2015, Engineers Without Borders Australia (EWB) launched an ambitious new Engineering a Better World 2020 Strategy setting out goals for not only the next five years but the next 50! This strategy charts a path to redefine engineering as a community centred profession and inspire a global movement of engineers driving social change. In short, EWB thinks that every engineer can contribute to engineering a better world, in Australia and internationally.
EWB 2020 Strategy
In Australia, EWB partners with Australian engineering companies through its Corporate Partner program. Corporate Partners work with EWB on key clean energy, sanitation and housing projects, have access to staff training and engagement activities and become part of a culture where people are at the heart of engineering. Our Corporate Partners provide a platform for influencing the Australian engineering sector so that all engineers are empowered to act as leaders, problem solvers and social change agents.
EWB Corporate Partners
What does this mean for NSW?
EWB NSW works with our Corporate Partners through their local representatives to provide opportunities for engagement in our region initiatives. From Lunch and Learns with returned field professionals, World Toilet Day bake-offs, Joint-Reconciliation Week events, trivia nights and sports competitions, there are creative and varied ways of building the humanitarian engineering movement.
