Sally Dominguez

Inventor, adventurer and educator, Sally’s unique blend of talents have led her on an extraordinary journey that includes manufacturing and invention, car design and rallying, and journeys across Cambodia, China and the USA to see pioneering technologies at work first hand.

In 2012, Sally was named one of Advance Australia’s “50 for the Future”. She is a Friend for Tourism Australia and has won more than 7 international product design awards for her Nest highchair and Rainwater HOG modular tank designs. Sally has judged innovation and design around the world including a six-year stint on ABC TVs New Inventors and cameos on American and Australian TV and radio.   

Sally is the US correspondent for Curve Industrial Design magazine and reviews cars on air and in print for Fairfax media. In 2012, she and her co-driver were the first Australians to complete in the gruelling Rallye De Gazelles across Morocco. Sally is passionate about innovative design, design education, turning STEM into STEAM and spreading the word on future technologies for our transport and building industries.
