Background:
Kooma Traditional Owners Association approached EWB about working on a project to improve water and sanitation at Murra Murra.  Their aim was to build a sustainable and culturally appropriate amenities block that could cater for large groups of visitors.  Consequently in 2010 a team was formed to scope options for the amenities block. EWB’s corporate partner Arup lead the team of Arup and EWB volutneer hydraulic engineers, structural engineers and community liaison officers.  The team has conducted two scoping trips and is at the point of construction, pending funding.
