Applying for a Project

Eligibility

Projects are available to Australian-based undergraduate or masters by coursework students.  Projects can be undertaken in any year, but it is recommended final or honours year courses are utilised to enable students to allocate time, complete a project and receive appropriate university credit.

Application Process

To apply for a project, review the list of projects for one that you are interested in and is appropriate to your field of study.  Complete an application form, stating which project you are interested in, your university and field of study, any relevant background, and email it to the Curriculum and Research Coordinator: j.oshea@ewb.org.au

If you are not applying for a project through one of EWB’s university partners, you will have to ensure you have identified an academic supervisor based at your university before applying for a project.

Expression of Interest

If you do not wish to apply for a project immediately you can still submit an expression of interest to the Curriculum and Research Coordinator: j.oshea@ewb.org.au    This will enable us to contact you when new projects are available.

Timing

There are two intake rounds a year, towards the end of each semester.  Applications are due at the end of the semester before you commence your project.  This is to enable EWB to allocate students to projects and, where required, students to undertake background training, courses or to attend the EWB National Conference.  Do not wait until the week you start your project to apply.
