About

This page is intended to give an overview of application scenarios relevant to farm scale production and utilisation of biochar. Generally speaking farm scale production is production of biochar for non-commercial use. It can be production of any scale from 100g through to tonnes per day.

More detailed explanations of scenarios can be found under the links to the right.

Choosing the right application scenario for your situation is the key to specifying the right equipment and to develop a solid design for your given scenario.

It is intended that this page will eventually be a step by step guide to selecting the most appropriate technology.

The idea is that everybody who implements a choosen technology puts there results back into OpenChar. This forms Open-Source Collaboration.
