Interactive Resources
Interactive resources have been provided to assist students and academics in engaging with the EWB Challenge. These reosources can be either used as part of lecutres and tutorials or for privater study by students. Participants are encouraged to make use of these resoruces as it will result in a better quality final design and report.The structure of the resources are to align with the 2010 EWB Challenge Learning Outcomes and Judging Criteria. Each Outcome and Criteria is detailed with links to appropriate lecture, tutorial and online resources to improve students understanding of the judging criteria. These items are outlined below. The resources can be accessed by clicking on the links iwthin each of the boxes. We recommend students and course coordinators review the reosurce outline as this provides a brief introduction to each of the resources in that section. We hope these resources are useful throughout your participation in the EWB Challenge.
EWB Challenge Aims
The EWB Challenge has four aims which explain how the program supports student learning. They are:- Technical knowledge - Demonstrate application of technical knowledge to the specified problem.
- Sustaianable development - Develop skills in integrating Sustainable Development and Design Context into the decision making process.
- Teamwork and communication - Develop effective communication and teamwork skills for a development context.
- Working cross culturally - Develop an appreciation of some of the complexities of working cross culturally.
