Mechanics Motion Lab
In this activity Sri Lankan School of Prosthesics and Orthotics students got up close and personal with digital cameras to analyse the motion of the arm around the shoulder when bowling a cricket ball.

First Lesson Down!
We started the class with intros and icebreakers, and then Chamila gave the first lecture to 18 new students at SLSPO. Students were from all over the country, speaking either Singhala and Tamil as their mother tongue and with various religions represented.

The Things we Do with Feet
On Sunday Mel attended a workshop on feet at SLSPO run by USAid Ray Pye, who demonstrated his long history with making and breaking prosthetic feet. She also participated in a round table with folks from most P&O device supplying workshops and clinics to get a feel for how many devices are fitted each year in Sri Lanka and to what clientele they serve.
