EWB members are part of a community of like-minded people who all share an interest in appropriate technology, international development and poverty alleviation. Click here to join our community!
EWB members come from a variety of backgrounds and experience levels, including students, professional and retired engineers and non-engineers. We currently have an active membership of over 1500 people.
Membership is the best way get involved in our work on a local, national and international level. It is important to note that EWB membership is not only for engineers. In fact, many of the EWB staff are not engineers.Members are encouraged to get involved in EWB events, to learn more about development and to spread the values of EWB. Members of EWB also have access to the member-only sections of the website. This includes all our Knowledge Hubs – a Knowledge Hub is a network of people with a common passion for a theme central to EWB.

Professional Member - $50
Student/Unwaged Member - $10
(Annual membership is valid from January each year with renewals due on March 1st the following year. A membership discount of 50% is applicable after September 1st)

Unpaid members do not have member rights until payment is received.
Membership renewals are due by 1st March every year. All members receive automated emails upon confirmation of the application and payment, and an email at least one month prior to membership expiration. Unpaid members do not have member rights until payment is received.
