The Engineers Without Borders Challenge (EWB Challenge) is an Australasian design program for first-year university students. Students work in teams to develop conceptual designs for projects identified by EWB's community partners that contribute towards the sustainable development of disadvantaged communities.
EWB chapters around Australia are hosting one and two day workshops called "Pathways to Working with Developing Communities". These interactive workshops provide an excellent opportunity for EWB members to learn more about EWB and explore opportunities to engage in work with communities.
National Council is an annual meeting between EWB chapter representatives and staff each year for strategic planning, training and team building.
Held in Melbourne from 25th - 27th November, Focus 2010 is Engineers Without Borders (EWB) 5th Annual National Conference. It represents the premier gathering of engineers working or interested in international aid work, sustainable development, design and technology. Student and professional delegates will converge on Melbourne over three days for presentations from internationally renowned speakers and to attend thought provoking and interactive displays and workshops
The Sydney University Chapter works closely with the other universities in Sydney and the Professional chapter.
