The Engineers Without Borders Challenge (EWB Challenge) is an Australasian design program for first-year university students. Students work in teams to develop conceptual designs for projects identified by EWB's community partners that contribute towards the sustainable development of disadvantaged communities.

EWB chapters around Australia are hosting one and two day workshops called "Pathways to Working with Developing Communities". These interactive workshops provide an excellent opportunity for EWB members to learn more about EWB and explore opportunities to engage in work with communities.

Held in Melbourne from 25th - 27th November, Impact 2010 is Engineers Without Borders (EWB) 5th Annual National Conference. It represents the premier gathering of engineers working or interested in international aid work, sustainable development, design and technology. Student and professional delegates will converge on Melbourne over three days for presentations from internationally renowned speakers and to attend thought provoking and interactive displays and workshops

The NSW Chapter serves as a forum for meeting like-minded engineers as well as providing a hub for accessing opportunities to:

• empower yourself with knowledge and skills by attending our seminar series
• contribute your expertise and research skills toward one of our knowledge hubs
• join one of our local initiatives or embark on a volunteer placements

• Empower yourself with knowledge and skills by attending our seminar series
• Contribute your research skills toward the EWB challenge or a thesis with impact
• Embark on one of our annual expeditions to gain first hand development experience
