Currently, the DELE happens just once a year.

The 2011 DELE is happening for three weeks in January.
For chapter members there are several placements on the DELE. Applications for the 2011 DELE have closed.

Information is anticipated to be released about the 2012 DELE around June 2011, applications will probably be made to staff member Dan Loden.
Overseas Volunteering Intakes EWB's mission statement talks about working with disadvantaged communities. We do this largely by sending a volunteer to work with that community in country for 6-24 months (most placements 1 year). That volunteer is supported by technical volunteers back home as well. The volunteers are required to have all the skills needed for development work (all EWB's other opportunities are partially aimed at giving you these skills) and be an expert in the required technical field which varies with placements.

The 2010 Intake (Intake 7) has already closed, sorry! But you can have a look at what positions were available here.

Placements typically run for a whole year and are assigned bi-anually.  Volunteers are encouraged to apply for any of the positions which match their area of expertise. Applications for Intake 7 have closed.

Information about Intake 8 is anticipated to be released sometime mid-year 2012.
EWB supported Final Year Thesis Each year EWB has a number of undergraduate research programs on offer to people wanting to do an EWB final year thesis. If you choose to do this, EWB will supply you with a volunteer in the community you work with as well as an additional mentor/advisor to your uni adviser.
