This program seeks to assist community organisations in Victoria to reduce their environmental footprint and running costs through auditing, education and training. We develop long term partnerships with a wide variety of non-profit groups to assist them with the sometimes complicated world of energy efficiency and impact minimization. Our work benefits the environment, improves the capacity of these community welfare, and we get to solve some engaging engineering problems while we're at it.
Sages Cottage Farm Water Project
EWB is assisting the Sudanese refugee community in Melbourne to access donated old bicycles and fix them up for use. Bikes provide them with a sustainable and affordable form of transport, connects them to broader communities and promotes healthy living!
RMIT - EWB Development Scholarship provides RMIT Engineering students
with the opportunity to complete a 3-month internship with Habitat
for Humanity in Vietnam. The scholarship recipients work on projects best suited

University of Melbourne Chapter is a great group of like minded students who's given the opportunities to apply the skills they've learned in uni for a great cause. Plenty of initiatives to get involved with on campus as well as in local or indigenous projects. So look out for details on weekly meetings on the website and feel free to join the Engineers Without Borders - Melb Uni FB Group!
