2007 EWB Challenge Finalists

Congratulations to all the teams that entered into the 2007 EWB Challenge finals judging!

The reports were of a very high quality and the six judges had a difficult time selecting the finalists. The multidisciplinary judging panel consisted of:

  • Wageeh Boles (AaeE)
  • Bill Buckland (Thiess)
  • Frank Bullen (ACED)
  • Stewart Davies (EWB)
  • Tony Godbold (TEWOAF)
  • Nicholas Harley (EA)

The judges reviewed the reports and selected six teams to present their designs at the EWB Challenge finals to be held at a special full day session at the annual AaeE conference held at the University of Melbourne on Tuesday, 11th December 2007.

The finalist teams are:

  • Australian Defence Force Academy/The University of New South Wales Water Supply and Treatment
  • RMIT University MADE: Water Supply and Treatment, Permaculture
  • The Australian National University Solar Cooker: Parabolic Dish
  • The University of Canterbury Forest System for Uluru Childrens Home & Alampara Community
  • The University of New South Wales The Planeteers: A sustainable Orphanage for India
  • The University of Queensland A Sustainable Water Supply & Treatment System: Team Teal

The designs of all finalists will be presented to the Uluru Childrens Home (UCH) committee for further discussions with EWB.
