Indigenous people from all over the world tend to experience disproportionately higher rates of poverty and human rights abuses when compared with non-indigenous residents. On the 9th of August, we recognise the importance of supporting indigenous people and their cultures.
Did you know?
- There is a life expectancy gap of 17 years between indigenous and non-indigenous Australians.
- The average income of indigenous Australians is just 62% of that of non-indigenous Australians.
