Why you should Twitter!

Twitter: The domain of pointless babble and vapid celebrities? Well, kind of, but only if that's what you want it to be. It's also home to a vibrant technology-literate community with a strong culture of community, social justice and environmental sustainability.

Twitter can be an effective way for chapters to connect with members (in addition to the EWB website of course), potential members and other like minded groups, and generally raise awareness of projects, events and fundraising. It's also a good way to find out what's happening outside your usual spheres of communication. Creating and making the most of a network using Twitter can take some time and effort, but so does any kind of networking.

Once you've set up your account, you need to start following people and interacting with them (make sure you follow @EWBAus first of all!!). Build a local network by following like-minded organisations, companies and people in your area and let them know what your chapter is up to.. You never know what it might lead to!!!

Happy twittering!
