South East Queensland are smashing it!
I just wanted to say well done to the South East Queensland Chapter for their efforts on the new EWB website. They’ve had over 700 hits already this year… more than any other chapter!

How did they do it?!?
For a start they have:- Had 58 members sign up to their web page.
- Posted regular content; so far this year: 5 volunteer opportunities, 5 discussion posts, 4 announcements, 2 events and 1 resource.
- Got a photo (featured on this announcement) of sexy EWB members hanging out with their awesome community partner, Kargun Fogarty (Kooma) on their “About this Chapter” tab.
But how did they do that?!?
Well, we’re going to have to ask them!... South East Queenslanders, can you please tell us:- How have you been encouraging members to join your page?
- Who is posting your content? Do you have someone dedicated to adding/managing content, or are a number of committee members in on the act?
- Any other tips? Please share your secrets with us!
Some more intel…
Visitors to the South East Queensland Chapter web page have been most interested in volunteer opportunities, followed by announcements, then events, and then resources. This is a site-wide trend. What’s this telling us? People want opportunities to volunteer… to get involved… they want to do something to help engineer a better world! So we probably knew that already, but now we’ve got stats to back it up (I’ve recently discovered the power of Google Analytics). It is also telling us that our members want to know what’s going on in their chapter (announcements), they want to be part of a community (events) and they want to learn (resources).I hope this information helps.
