EWB Challenge Volunteer Opportunties

This announcement is an update on EWB Challenge activites over the last couple of months and also identifies a number of opportunties to engage with the EWB Challenge Program.

EWB Challenge Resources

After consultation with EWB Volunteers and staff all we have collated a number of resources to assist lecturers, tutors, chapters and students in participating in the EWB Challenge. We are now seeking feedback on these resources.

It would be great if people could either:

  • Trial the Tutorial resources provided on the site
    • Please let me know which resources you will test out so we don’t duplicate too much
    • Please provide any suggestions either via email or as a tracked changes document via email to me
  • Review some of the other lecture and online materials provided
  • Identify any additional resources you think may be appropriate for the site

A teleconference is scheduled for Monday the 15th of February at 6 pm Melbourne time, 5 pm Brisbane time, 5:30 pm Adelaide time and 3 pm Perth time. If you are interested in participating please contact me at d.loden@ewb.org.au.

 EWB Challenge Presentations

First semester presentations will be taking place around the country towards the end of February and beginning of March. The format of these presentations is very structures with PowerPoint slides, speaking notes and a video provided to presenters. However presenters are encouraged to draw from their own experiences during the presentation and make it their own. Presentations will take place during university / work hours.

 Please let me know via email if you are willing to be a presenter in your local area and also if you are willing to travel (at EWB’s expense) to undertake presentations.

 EWB FAQ team

Once semester starts in march students will start to use the Frequently asked questions forum. If you are willing to assist with queries on the forum can you please join the FAQ page of the EWB Challenge website. You can do this by joining the EWB Challenge page then joining the FAQ Private page and I will grant you access . Could you please also let me know if you are interested in helping out.

This group will also form the basis for the report review team at the end of semester 1 (July) and semester 2 (September)
